Case lot sale
The Langley Commissary will hold a case lot sale 9 a.m. Sept. 2 and 3. Case lot sale shoppers get "bargains by the case" and savings up to 50% off regular prices on popular items. For more information, go to www.commissaries.com.

Armed Forces Voters Week
Are you prepared to vote in November's mid-term elections? As part of Armed Forces Voters Week, voting assistance officers will be available to answer questions and disseminate the paperwork you need to register and vote via absentee ballot for your state of residence. Voting assistants will have a booth 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sept. 5-8 in the base commissary. For details, call 764-8525. 

Munitions Storage Area closure
The Munitions Storage Area will be closed Sept. 11-15 to conduct a 100-percent, semi-annual munitions inventory. Any organization having a valid munitions requirement during this period, such as issues or turn-ins, should schedule their support well in advance. Only emergency requests submitted in writing and approved by the group commander or equivalent will be processed during this period. For details, call 764-7139/3727. 

Clinic moves
The Bethel Clinic and the Prime Eagle North Clinic have moved to the NASA Clinic, building 1192C. The Bethel Clinic move is temporary while renovations are being made to the clinic; the PEN Clinic move is permanent. For details, call 225-7630. 

Heritage of America concert series 
The U.S. Air Force band, Heritage of America, will hold the following concerts:
An evening of musical theater with Bruce Adler
6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Langley Memorial Park
6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Merchants Square

Motorcycle ride
Fort Monroe hosts an interservice motorcycle safety ride 8 a.m. Sept. 8 at the Fort Monroe Bowling Center parking lot. The ride will take riders from Fort Monroe to Isle of Wight County and back. For more information or to register, call Velora Bland at 788-2646. 

MPF closure
Due to office renovations, the Military Personnel Flight Customer Service section will be closed at certain times and will be temporarily relocated between Sep 8-14. The schedule is as follows:
Sept. 8: 7:30 a.m. - noon, normal location
Sept. 11 and 12: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Airman and Family Readiness Center Classroom, room 101
Sept. 13:  8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Airman and Family Readiness Center Classroom, room 101
Sept. 14: Closed
Sept. 15: Returns to normal customer service hours and location
In addition, the records section will be closed (except for emergencies) to accomplish an annual records audit Sept. 8-14. For details, call Ken Corder at 764-2270.

Jogging trail open
The Air Combat Command Fitness Center jogging trail is now safely open for joggers and walkers. The jogging trail will be closed again late in the year or early 2007 for a short period to demolish the remaining building foundation. 

Discipline & Deployments
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will hold Discipline & Deployments classes from noon - 1 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Mission Support Group building.
The classes are designed for parents who are temporarily single due to deployment, extended temporary duty assignments, etc. Guests can obtain tips for disciplining children of all ages, typical reactions children have as a result of the deployments and how to cope. For details, call 764-3990. 

Blood drive
An Armed Forces Blood Drive will be held 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Bateman Library. For details, call 2nd Lt. Elim Horng, 764-6501. 

Catholic picnic
The Langley Catholic Community Annual Picnic will be held Sept. 10. The day will start with Mass at 10 a.m. in the base theater followed by food, fun and fellowship at Eagle Park. Families whose last name starts with A through R are asked to bring a side dish and S through Z should bring a dessert. Music and games will be provided throughout the afternoon. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket and join the festivities.  

Anger management
A five-session Anger Management class will be held 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sept. 11, 18 and 25, and Oct. 2 and 16 at the Health and Wellness Center. For details or to register, call 764-2427. 

Financial workshop
The Dave Ramsey "Financial Peace University" 13-week personal financial management course will be held 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. each Tuesday in the Langley Chapel Annex auditorium beginning Sept. 12. The cost is $45 per person/couple. Topics include budgeting, saving, investing, borrowing pitfalls, buying/selling a home, giving and more. Collection days
The next Household Chemical Collection Days will be Sept. 9 and 16. Those living in Poquoson/York County can drop off 8 a.m. - noon Sept. 9 at County Drive in Yorktown. Those living in Hampton can drop off 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Hampton Public Works Operations Complex. For details, call 259-9850.
