By Senior Airman Derek Seifert | 633rd Air Base Wing Public Affairs | Jan. 17, 2018

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. —

Weapons load crews from the 1st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the 94th Aircraft Maintenance Unit competed during the 4th Quarter Weapons Load Competition at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Jan. 2, 2018.

During the competition, each load crew is tasked to successfully and correctly load one AIM-9X missile, one AIM-9M and one preloaded BRU-61 with four GBU-39 missiles into a U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor. The objective for the teams is to be the first finished with the loading and have the least amount of discrepancies.

Each team is graded by weapons standardization members based upon how well the technical orders are followed.

The results for the winner of the 4th QWLC and the annual winner will be announced in 2018.
