Lieutenant Colonel Zachary S. Miller is a native of Newport, KY and enlisted in the United States Army in 2007 as an Air Defense Artillery Soldier. He commissioned into the Transportation Corps through the Ohio University Army ROTC program in 2009.

LTC Miller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Ohio University, a Master of Science degree in Logistics and Transportation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, a Master of Military Operational Studies from the Command and General Staff College, and a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Louisville. He also completed a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Change through the University of Louisville. His military education includes the Battalion Pre-Command Course, Intermediate Level Education, Theater Sustainment Planners Course, Aerial Delivery and Materiel Officer Course, Support Operations Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Jumpmaster School, Air Assault School, Airborne School, Transportation Officer Basic Course, Advanced Individual Training, and Basic Combat Training. He also holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Demonstrated Senior Logistician certifications.
