CSM William A. Justice

CSM William A. Justice is a native of Washington Court House, Ohio. He entered the United States Army in July 1990 and completed One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky where he earned the MOS 19 Kilo (M1 Armor Crewman). He currently serves as the Command Sergeant Major for the Futures and Concepts Command as part of U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command.

His previous assignments include one tour at Fort Polk, LA with 4-35 AR; three tours at Fort Hood, TX with 3-66 AR, 2-1 CAV, 1-10 CAV and 1-66 AR; three tours at Fort Knox, KY with 2-81 AR and HQ U.S. Army Armor Center, and one tour with 4-64 AR Fort Stewart, GA. His service as a Command Sergeant Major includes assignments as the Battalion CSM 1-72 AR Camp Casey, Korea; Battalion CSM UNCSB-JSA Camp Bonifas, Korea; Battalion CSM 2-13 IN Fort Jackson, SC; CSM Observer/Controller (Cobra Team) and CSM Operations Group NTC Fort Irwin, CA. He also served as the Brigade CSM 2nd ABCT, 1st Cavalry Division and the CSM U.S. Army Operational Test Command, both at Fort Hood, TX. Additionally, he served as the Post CSM National Training Center and Fort Irwin, CA. CSM Justice’s most recent assignment was as the Division Command Sergeant Major for First Army – Division West at Fort Cavazos, TX.

His combat deployments include two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; additionally he has one RAF rotational tour to the Republic of Korea.

CSM Justice's military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System including the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 61). He also attended the Drill Sergeant School, Master Fitness School, The Inspector General School, The Force Management Course (HTAR), and the Observer/Controller Academy. He is a graduate of the Department of Defense Keystone Command Senior Leader Course and is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (3 OLC), Bronze Star Medal (2 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (6 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (6 OLC), Good Conduct Medal (10th Award), National Defense Service Medal (1 BS), Iraq Campaign Medal (1 BS), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 6), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 4), Valorous Unit Award {2 OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Army Superior Unit Award. He has been awarded the Combat Action Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, Inspector General Badge, Draper Armor Leadership Award, and the Order of Saint George Medallion (Bronze). CSM Justice is also a recipient of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Award.
