Equal Opportunity Office

The 633 ABW Equal Opportunity staff provides an avenue of redress for Air Force active duty, retiree, and active duty dependent unlawful discrimination complaints based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), and sexual harassment with appeals; provides subject matter expertise and/or referral assistance as required.

For Army and Air Force DoD civilian personnel (or applicants to federal service), the Equal Opportunity office affords an avenue of redress for  unlawful discrimination based on race, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), color, national origin, age (40 or older), religion, disability, genetic information or reprisal for previous EEO activity. While not enforced by EEOC, discrimination in employment based on other factors prohibited by Executive order, such as status as a parent, may be addressed through other separate complaint and resolution systems.

The Equal Opportunity office also administers Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) Organization Climate Survey (DEOCS) assessments; provides human relations education and specialized briefings upon request; provides alternative dispute resolution procedures to resolve EO and non-EO related concerns; and clarifies equal opportunity and treatment incidents.

We encourage people to use the chain of command and support early and lowest resolution of human relations climate issues.
