The Commissary Rewards Card will celebrate its one-year anniversary Aug. 8 by releasing a mobile application for its users. The app will allow commissary patrons to access their rewards account, select coupons and review clipped, redeemed and expired coupons, as well as allow shoppers to locate commissaries worldwide and access store information such as phone number and address. According to statehealthfacts.org, an estimated 3.8 billion prescriptions were filled in the United States in 2011, costing Americans more than $271 billion. When filling at a military pharmacy, patients receive 90-day prescriptions with no co-pay, and when using a military mail-order pharmacy, co-pays can be between $0 and $43.
