JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. - –
As temperatures continue to drop, the 633rd Force Support Squadron and 733rd Force Support Divisions at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, have plans to keep the spirits of Service members and their families high this holiday season.
This holiday season, Santa is scheduled to make a few stops at JBLE for various events, including breakfast at the Fort Eustis Club Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m., bowling at the Langley Lanes Dec. 13 at 1 p.m., and swimming at the Fort Eustis Aquatic Center Dec. 20 at 12 p.m.
"Because of the rigorous military mission, a significant number of our military can't be with the ones they love this year," said James Murrell, 633rd FSS community center director. "Force support activities show Service members their sacrifice doesn't go unnoticed."
Other events to bring holiday cheer include Christmas tree lighting ceremonies on both installations, Christmas trees provided for Service members free of charge through the "Trees for Troops" program, religious services provided by the Regimental Memorial Chapel at Fort Eustis, as well as the Bethel and Langley Chapels.
Youth Services, Fort Eustis and Langley clubs, and other units within the 633rd FSS and 733rd FSD have several events planned for the holidays. For more information, Service members, civilian employees and their families can visit their website at http://new.jbleforcesupport.com/ to view the events calendar and to register for events.
